Collections
Havering Museum collects and preserves objects which record the history of the area that is now the London Borough of Havering, making them accessible to a wide audience through exhibitions, events and activities and education programmes. The Museum will foster a strong sense of community identity and pride in the achievements of local people, providing a wide range of opportunities for engagement in its work through volunteering, research projects and other activities.
Object Donations
Havering Museum has limited space for collections. Any object offered to the museum must fulfil the following criteria: evidence of being made or used in Havering; Supporting information, for example, receipts or photographs; size, weight and conditions will be taken in to consideration.
Due to limited space please do not bring any objects into the museum without first having contacted the Curator or member of the Museum's Collections Panel.
