WALK WITH THE SUGAR GIRLS -Tuesday 10th August 2021 – Ian Selby will lead the walk.

 

Sorry, this walk has now sold out.

An All-Day walk around the secluded area of Silvertown, recalling the memories, hardship, and lives of the Women who worked at Tate & Lyles Silvertown works. After taking all this in, we continue across the Thames by the Woolwich Ferry to explore the South Side of the river passing many unique places. We end our walk at the Emirates Airline for our Docklands train to Stratford.

There will be many stops on route for telling of history and refreshment.
Meet in Romford around 9:30am or Stratford around 10:00am

NOTES:-
• Money is needed for morning coffee break, Pub Lunch and Emirates Airline
• Best to use a ‘Backpack’ for all your stuff
• Bring your ‘Freedom Pass’ card
• Should be back home by 17:00 pm
• This is an All -Day Walk
