Support Us

Havering Museum is a local independent heritage Museum, which is a registered charity, run by volunteers, with 12 Directors with business, education, law and curatorial backgrounds. The Museum relies on the support of sponsors, grants and local people. We need your help to enrich our galleries and Collections, conserve exhibits, buy objects and support our work with schools and the older people of our borough.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK Tax Payer, you can boost your donation by emailing or posting to us a Gift Aid declaration form which allows us to claim an extra 25% on top of your donation, at no cost to you. Alternatively complete the Gift Aid form when you visit the Museum.

Donations

You have the opportunity to make a financial donation to the Museum in our donations box when visiting the Museum or make a donation by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Havering Museum Ltd and sent to 19-21 High Street, Romford, Essex, RM1 1JU. You will also have the opportunity to support different projects which may relate to conserving or buying artefacts.

A Gift In Your Will

Consider leaving a legacy and in-memory gifts to the Museum as a lasting gift to the next generation.

There are three types of gift:

A Residuary Gift

This is a gift of all or part of the value of your estate, once all your other commitments have been settled.

A Pecuniary Gift

This is a gift of a specific sum of money (e.g. £1,000). You may wish to protect this gift against the effects of inflation by asking your solicitor to ensure that it is index linked.

A Specific Gift (of an object)

If you are thinking of leaving an object to Havering Museum in your Will, please speak to our Curator who can advise whether we will be able to accept the gift.
