Eastside Community Heritage Summer School Programme KS2 Session 5: Video Making Workshop

These FREE sessions are for children age 6-11 and can be booked online via Eventbrite or at the museum
The final session of the programme will be an opportunity for children to create their own public history video via TikTok, with the chance for it to be shared on our social media platforms for the world to see!
Children will learn about storyboards and researching some digital archive material and finally create their own TikTok video based on their own local history.
Over the course of this 5-session programme, children will gain an appreciation for oral history as a source, learn digital skills, explore historical imagination, and gain familiarity with the many histories of East London and Essex, of which they themselves are a part, all while having fun and being creative during their summer holidays!
Workshops have been designed to be enjoyed as a 5 session programme however sessions can also be booked individually.
Please bring your own refreshments to the session. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friends of Havering Museum
FoHM was set up in 2000 to support and promote the aims of Havering Museum. They provide an exclusive and exciting programme of events which are designed for members.

FoHM Events

The walks and talks are free to members unless stated otherwise. If places are available, non-members are welcome for a charge of £5.

Our popular reminiscence sessions are sponsored by Mullis & Peake LLP and take place on Friday afternoons between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Tickets are £5 each which includes entry to the Havering Museum and refreshments.
