Christmas Market 2017The Museum is geared up for the festive season, with events planned to ensure visitors and volunteers get into the spirit of the occasion.

Don’t miss the return of our highly successful Christmas Indoor Market on Sunday 26th November from 12.00noon until 4.00pm. Admission Free. This is a great opportunity to visit the stalls packed with goodies, including ladies jewellery, cakes, books, toys and the ever popular Tombola. Do some Christmas shopping and then explore the Galleries and learn more about the remarkable and long history of Havering.

No need to book, just turn up and enjoy this great family event. Don’t forget, entry to the Museum is Free on Sunday 26th November.

SANTA AND THE WISHING TREE

Wishing treeGive your kids an early Christmas treat…bring them along to the Museum on Saturday 9th December at 11.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-2.30pm. They’ll met Santa, listen to his amazing adventures with his Elves and reindeer…receive a present and a magic bell. The young ones will also get the opportunity to record what they want for Christmas by placing their messages on Santa’s Wishing Tree. The visit includes craft activity and is suitable for kids 4-10 year olds.

Cost: £6.50p per child, adults free. This event must be booked in advance.

CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS AND CAKE TASTING

Don’t bother with lunch on Wednesday 13th December, come along to the Museum for a mouth-watering afternoon of reliving Christmas Traditions and enjoying delicious cake tasting. It starts at 1.00pm and costs £7.00…that includes entry to the Galleries.
