Happy Birthday Havering Museum
Today, Saturday 26th May, Havering Museum celebrates its Eighth Birthday.
The Museum was launched thanks to the determination and dedication of a group of local historians and librarians who campaigned for several decades to provide a permanent home for exhibits that told the incredible story of Havering that dates back to pre-Bronze Age.
On 26th May, 2010 their dream became reality, thanks to a magnificent grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Now, over eight amazing years, we are not only preserving the history of the Borough, but with our work with the Over 50’s, schools and uniform groups have become the Community Hub of Havering.
