Havering Museum at the Havering Show!
This August Bank Holiday weekend Havering Museum went to the Havering Show at Harrow Lodge Park, in Hornchurch, to promote our new Autumn For All Programme. Below are some photographs taken at Havering Museum’s stall.
Some of our volunteers and members of our board of Directors dressed in period costume to tell the Havering residents about our fantastic Autumnal events, including:
A temporary exhibition opening on Saturday 1 October 2011 entitled Art and War: The Artist Rifles and Romford, 1915 to 1918. Exploring the Artist Rifles Corps situated in Romford during the First World War.
Our October half-term activities in association with the African Academy of Arts, this includes: African Art & Crafts on Wednesday 26 October 2011 and African Music & Drumming on Friday 28 October 2011.
As part of The Big Draw we are also running two sessions based on developing your drawing skills. Everyone Can Draw! is on Saturday 8 & Saturday 15 October 2011, 2 pm to 4 pm.
Two of our Autumn Talks were sold out over the bank holiday weekend (Military Ghosts and Ghost Talk). If you would like to book for any other talks do so quickly as they are filling up fast!
