Havering on the Move

This week Havering Museum is eagerly preparing for the launch of it’s next temporary exhibition “Havering on the Move”, the story of local transport. This is being staged to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground.

With displays on the history of buses, cars, trains, boats, bicycles and more, the exhibition will explore how generations of local people got from A to B. In addition to loans from local people and material from the Museum’s own collection, it will also feature artefacts, images and a film kindly loaned by the London Transport Museum.

Exhibitions Team Leader Matthew Abel commented “The London Transport Museum have made a wonderful contribution to this exhibition. I really hope that people take this opportunity to come and see some of the fascinating material on display.”
