Friends of Havering Museum
FoHM was set up in 2000 to support and promote the aims of Havering Museum. They provide an exclusive and exciting programme of events which are designed for members.

The walks and talks are free to members unless stated otherwise. If places are available, non-members are welcome for a charge of £5.

Reminiscence Sessions

Our popular reminiscence sessions are sponsored by Mullis & Peake LLP and take place on Friday afternoons between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Tickets are £5 each which includes entry to the Havering Museum and refreshments.
Come along, make new friends, share your stories, or just listen to fascinating stories.

Museum Galleries Opening Times

The public galleries are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays & Tuesdays.

We may be open at other times for talks, events, room bookings and private hire.

Charities and local organisation are invited to host their own tables to raise awareness and funds for their causes. Museum tables will include books, bric a brac and collectables.

There will also be a Pop Up Café.

Charities & local organisations £6.00 per table.

ADMISSION FREE.

Suitable for ages 4 upwards. Come and try some button crafts in our Learning Zone. Pop in at a time that suits you between 11:30 – 15:00.

The Museum will be hosting a table top sale and pop a café too.

Jewellery was worn as a sign of rank, role, military or civil award, it could be amuletic to ward off evil events or promote positive ones; it was also very beautiful. In this talk Janet Brewer explains the techniques used to craft jewellery and where the raw materials came from.
